Advantages Of Using A Marketing Firm vs A Specialized Service Provider?
Today I was talking to a client that showed great concern over using any telemarketing service without guarantees for results. In a perfect world guarantees would be given, the yellow pages would tell you the minimum amount of calls your $1500 quarter page ad will get you, how many customers will walk through your shop’s doors if you advertised in Valpak. However, in a perfect world every business would have no risk, therefore everyone would have a business and there would be no actual workers? My point is this, all marketing has a risk, the best you can do is research ALOT, know your customer, go for the lowest lying fruit first (customers looking for your product or service), and finally decide on a marketing provider that will treat you as if you were their only client.
Now to discuss the actual difference between using a “specialized” provider, as opposed to a marketing firm. For examples sake I will refer again to this client regarding the telemarketing campaign interest and his concerns of guarantees. If he spoke to a company that just did telemarketing, they reviewed the campaign together. If, they didnt think the campaign would work, they would have no choice but to still try and sell you their services, whether they were the right approach or not. The number one advantage to working with a Direct Marketing Firm, a firm like ours, is that if we know a telemarketing campaign is the wrong approach based on our experience, but know that a pay-per-click campaign would be more successful, we can honestly tell you that… because we do not risk losing your business? Why go to a store when its cold out that just sells sweaters, why not go to a store that sells everything you could possibly need for winter?
